Things to do at the park!

Here are a few activities that have been done at Wellington Park.  Please feel free to send us your own suggestions to add to the list!

• Playing on the swings
• Basketball (Pickup games on Wednesday evenings in the summer at 7 PM)
• Baseball (but not hardball)
• Soccer (see the tape goal outline on the tennis court fence)
• Tennis (bring your own net for now)
• Roller blading
• Roller Hockey (the tennis court area)
• Biking (the courts make a great bike training ground)
• Roller Tennis (a new sport invented recently by some young ladies at the Wellington Tennis Court)
• Grass Volleyball
• Walking your dog
• Throwing frisbees
• Relaxing on a park bench
• Enjoying a picnic at the picnic table
• Reading
• Gardening
• Bird Watching (especially along the eastern edge)
• Chalk art on the courts
• Hopscotch
• Kite Flying (see the kite poem by one of our contributors)
• Tai Chi
• Jogging
• Cross Country skiing
• Sledding (on our southwest entrance slope)
• Building snow figures (we have to be somewhat PC here after all)
• Flying model airplanes
